Brainomix, Medtronic Collaborate on AI in Stroke Care

Brainomix, a developer of stroke artificial intelligence (AI) imaging software, has begun a strategic partnership with Medtronic Neurovascular.

The duo aims to boost stroke care for Western European patients by integrating AI solutions into clinical practices. It will leverage the Brainomix 360 stroke care platform, which uses AI algorithms for real-time interpretation of brain scans to assist treatment and transfer decisions for stroke patients.

The collaboration will combine Brainomix’s AI-powered imaging tech with Medtronic’s expertise in neurovascular treatments. Healthcare professionals in Western Europe will have access to highly precise diagnostic tools to simplify stroke detection and intervention.

In May 2024, the company shared a series of studies validating the impact of its Brainomix 360 stroke platform, including its U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-cleared Triage Stroke tool and flagship e-ASPECTS software.

Earlier this week, Medtronic announced it had secured FDA approval for its BrainSense adaptive deep brain stimulation (aDBS) and BrainSense electrode identifier (EI). It’s hailed as the world’s first adaptive DBS system for people with Parkinson’s disease.
